Aaron and I recently celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary, so as that date approached, I kew that I wanted to get him a special gift. I’m usually the absolute worst gift-giver, so I started researching several weeks ahead of time to make sure that I came up with something good!
I don’t remember how I originally thought of the idea of framing our wedding vows (I’m guessing I saw an ad on Instagram). Regardless of where the idea came from, I knew it was something that I wanted to do for Aaron. After our wedding, our pastor gave me the booklet that he used during the ceremony that contained our vows, his notes, and even the words to some of his prayers, and I’ve kept that booklet tucked away in our safe all these years.
Since our actual wedding vows were fairly short, I took sections from the pastor’s notes and prayers and added them to the vows. I found the PERFECT Etsy shop to purchase the famed vows from. Their customer service was great and the turnaround time was so fast! Since we were leaving for our cruise the day before our anniversary, I planned to have my parents hang the framed vows up in our house while we were gone to surprise Aaron when we got back. The shipping was so fast, though, that the gift actually arrived the day before we left. I was very impressed with the quality of the item, and would highly recommend Grace Stone Designs!
It’s really hard to get a picture of the item without a reflection, so here’s a proof of the words in case you’re interested. 🙂
